Throughout the 2020 season, Baseball America will keep track of significant injuries to prominent prospects.

Cleveland Indians

RHP Emmanuel Clase is expected to miss two to three months with a strained back muscle. If his rehabilitation goes as planned, he could be back on the mound in May. The Indians acquired Clase in the offseason Corey Kluber trade. He comes into the season ranked as Cleveland’s 15th-best prospect. (Feb. 28)

Los Angeles Angels

OF Brandon Marsh will miss the rest of spring training and possibly the start of the season with a left elbow strain. Marsh, the Angels No. 2 prospect and No. 43 on the BA Top 100, suffered the injury diving for a ball in center field. (Feb. 25, 2020)

RHP Jose Soriano will miss the 2020 season after having Tommy John surgery in early February. The 21-year old righthander ranked as the Angels’ No. 7 prospect at the time of the injury. He spent all of 2019 at low Class A Burlington. (Feb. 10, 2020)
