Nike Vision added to its training lineup with the announcement Thursday of baseball-specific frames and lenses dubbed Nike Hyperforce and Nike Hyperforce Elite.

With insight coming from All-Stars Mike Trout and George Springer, Nike designed the Hyperforce frames for quick lateral movements.

Using a strong angular design, the ventilated frame aims to prevent fogging, and additional rubberized elements help with grip when sweaty. The thin temple tips were designed to allow the frames to fit on top or underneath a hat and a raised top bar and subtle nose pad reduces obstructions while widening the field of view. The new frame also comes with an adaptive nose bridge and temple arms to help players find a secure fit.

By working with optic company Zeiss, Nike created a new Nike Field Tint, a green-based tint for a lens meant to enhance the ability of players to track objects in bright and shifting light, in part by treating the coating the outer lens with a reflective mirror to mute harsh light.

The new models—available now at nike.com or nikevision.com for $196 for the Hyperforce and $236 for the Hyperforce Elite—comes in six colors and with the opportunity to interchange lenses.

Nike Vision aims to create a clear view into baseball-specific training and playing gear with the new Hyperforce frames and Nike Field Tint lenses.
