MLB Draft 2007: Business As Usual

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.–The excitement of the first draft ever to be televised has subsided by now.

Most of the luminaries–the Ken Griffeys, Dave Winfields and Frank Robinsons–who were here to celebrate the occasion, have slipped out. Now the Milk House here in Disney’s Wide World of Sports resembles a workroom more than anything. For media members who are filing stories and the MLB employees who are diligent in the operational aspects of the draft, it’s all business as the picks continue rolling on.
