According to his Rollins (Fla.) College bio, 26-year-old catcher Yuta Okazaki played baseball in his native Japan until fifth grade. In the U.S. he played high school ball in Greenwich, Conn., then attended Connecticut-Avery Point JC before transferring to Rollins, where he played through 2014. Okazaki played sporadically in the independent Pecos League from 2015 to 2017.
