Job Posting: MLB Draft Writer

Baseball America is accepting applications for a writer to help Carlos Collazo and our staff cover the MLB draft. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an ability to write clearly and concisely. They will be able to observe and evaluate prospects at the field but also be able to report and gather information away from the field.

We highly value an ability to work collaboratively. Demonstrated experience in writing and reporting about amateur and professional prospects is required. The job entails some work with the prospect team as well helping report and produce BA prospect rankings, including the Prospect Handbook. Everyone at Baseball America does a little bit of everything, so ability to edit, shoot and produce videos or work with R, SQL or other stat programs are useful additional skills, but are not required.

This is a full-time job with the benefits (health insurance, 401K). We prefer to fill the position with someone who will work out of our Durham, N.C. office.

If interested, please send your resume, a couple of examples of your work and a cover letter explaining why you would be a good fit for this position to jobs@baseballamerica.com.
