Easton Launches Four Bats for New 2020 Lineup

As Easton launches four new bats across three model lines for the 2020 season, the California-based brand has put a focus on technology.

The debut of the ADV 360, Maxum 360, Fuze 360 and Alpha 360 all use names that tie to the brand’s 360 Engineering technology designed for a 360-degree barrel-tuning design, creating fresh lines of bats that fit the BBCOR, USSSA and USA regulation designations.

The ADV 360 leads the lineup with a two-piece composite bat offering Launch Composite technology to optimize the barrel profile. A new, lighter iSo ConneXion made with proprietary Nitrocell foam isolates the handle from the barrel for a solid feel and more power through the zone and a new Dynamic Feel System carbon handle, using 90 percent carbon fiber, improves stiffness for feel, says Matt Arndt, Easton senior vice president of product.

A Speed Cap was designed for more flexibility for the barrel with a natural sound on impact. The bat features the brand’s Power Boost Soft Knob technology.

“The ADV 360 is one of the most technologically advanced bats in the game,” says Dan Jelinek, Easton senior vice president of sales and marketing. “The product innovation will not only drive momentum in the market, but help instill confidence in players of all ages on the field.”

The Maxum return to the Easton lineup to provide players with what the brand claims is the longest barrel and biggest sweet spot in the game with a one-piece seamless carbon construction for flexing energy. Easton used computer-controlled precision molding technology for a lightweight wall.

“We’re excited to reintroduce this high-performing technology back into the market, where there has been a constant buzz for these bats for a long time,” Arndt says. “Our team was driven to continue to improve upon the Maxum technologies, and players will see the benefit on the field.”

The Fuze 360 complements the lineups as a two-piece hybrid for BBCOR and one-piece aluminum models for USSSA and USA, designed with the brand’s Advanced Thermal Alloy Construction reinforced with carbon technology for thin walls. The BBCOR model uses the ConneXion+ technology with foam and a lighter and stiffer end cap for increasing barrel trampoline. The Fuze 360 also includes the Power Boost Soft Knob.

“The Fuze 360 is a fully-loaded model, built for the most elite athletes in the game,” Arndt says. “Our team was striving to provide the best performing and feeling two-piece hybrid for BBCOR and the ultimate one-piece aluminum for USSSA and USA athletes, and that’s exactly what we did.

The Alpha 360, a one-piece aluminum bat, includes Easton’s Advanced Thermal Alloy Construction reinforced with carbon for thin walls. An insert reinforces the handle and the Speed Cap aims to provide more flexibility with a responsive barrel.

All new Easton bats come equipped with Lizard Skins grips.

The USA-stamped bats made a debut during the Little League World Series and the BBCOR lines covertly made an entrance during the 2019 College World Series. While most bats are available for pre-order now, they all release no later than Sept. 19, with the vast majority of them available on Aug. 29.
