TOP PROSPECTS

After initially going with a veteran-laden roster, the Red Sox have upped their pools prospect power after the first half of the season. Now, the group includes the club’s six top prospects—including big-bopping infielders Triston Casas and Bobby Dalbec (who socked a home run in his big league debut on Aug. 30) and No. 8 prospect LHP Jay Groome, who badly could have used a normal minor league season. The pool also includes RHP Tanner Houck and No. 17 prospect C Connor Wong.

ADDITIONS AND SUBTRACTIONS

The Red Sox dealt closer Brandon Workman to the Phillies and received RHP Nick Pivetta and prospect Connor Seabold in exchange. The team also dealt 1B Mitch Moreland to the Padres for a pair of prospects—3B Hudson Potts and OF Jeisson Rosario
