Royce Lewis, 3B, Twins. Lewis had two hits in five at-bats for Salt River in their victory over Surprise for the Arizona Fall League Championship on Saturday. The infielder collected a single and a double. Lewis played second and third base as well as center field during the AFL, not appearing once at his natural position of shortstop. He did not commit an error in the field and hit .353/.411/.565 with three homers and nine doubles in 85 at-bats. Lewis’ performance earned him the Joe Black Most Valuable Player award for the 2019 campaign.

Luis Garcia, SS, Nationals. Garcia had two base knocks in four at-bats for Surprise on Saturday. He also drove in a run in the third inning. He didn’t hit a homer during his time in the Arizona Fall League, and collected just six extra-base hits in 76 at-bats.

Jerar Encarnacion, RF, Marlins. Miami’s No. 21 prospect had the decisive hit in the fourth inning for Salt River during the championship game, belting a grand slam to left field. While he did show some pop in the AFL, Encarnacion struck out 28 times in 67 at-bats.
