2018 Position Rankings: Catchers

This year’s catcher class is deep with a mix of offensive and defensive-minded backstops. Five of the top six catching prospects have already made their big league debuts, with another wave in position to debut in 2018. Overall there were four catchers in the Top 100 prospects, with another half-dozen or so worthy of consideration. While there may not be a Buster Posey in this group, Francisco Mejia and Keibert Ruiz at the top nonetheless supply plenty of potential star power.
