2017 State Draft Report: New York

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_five_star Not up to par
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

The Empire State has a decent group of players that should come off the board in the top 10 rounds, with prep outfielder Quentin Holmes leading the way. New York’s colleges don’t offer much in the way of top-of-the-draft talent, but there are solid players to be found, like St. John’s infielder Jesse Berardi and Binghamton third baseman Justin Yurchak.
