2016 State Draft Report: Wisconsin

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_five_star One for the books
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

Number of players drafted in 2015: 3.

High school hitters from Wisconsin rarely get drafted high enough to sign. But this year, shortstop Gavin Lux will almost assuredly hear his name called sometime on Thursday night on TV.

Lux’s presence alone would make this a great year for Wisconsin draft talent, but once you add in Ben Rortvedt, Lake Bachar and Nate Brown, this is one of the best years for Wisconsin draft talent ever.
