2016 State Draft Report: Vermont

CROP RATING

Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

A year after two prep arms were ranked on the Vermont state list, there are no professional prospects in the state in 2016. Only one player has ever reached the Major Leagues after signing out of a Vermont school, and that was Kirk McCaskill, who played in 12 MLB seasons after playing out his collegiate career at the University of Vermont.

The state still has baseball, with a minor league team in Burlington and a collegiate summer team in Montpelier.
