2016 State Draft Report: Oregon

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_three_star Solid, not spectacular
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

What this state class lacks in immediate impact such as Michael Conforto in 2014, it makes up for tightly packed talent. What it has that 2015 had is Cole Irvin. The Oregon lefthander makes his second consecutive appearance on the list as he decided to return to school after being picked at No. 967 by the Pirates.

Once again, Oregon and Oregon State will make up for the majority of picks from the state, but unlike previous years there are three prep arms in the BA500, most notably Kenyon Yovan, a physical Ducks commit.
