As he's tamed his control troubles, Mushinski has become an effective lefty reliever for Texas Tech. Used in pure left-on-left situations as a sophomore, Mushinski has graduated to facing lefties and righties as a junior. His 91-92 mph fastball that touches 94 and his above-average curve give him two weapons against lefties and survival skills against righthanded hitters. His shaky control may lead scouts to let him return to Texas Tech for his senior season, but he has a pro future as a matchup lefty reliever.
