But he's a Top 500 talent with strength and a lefthanded swing and could be a first-three-rounds pick three years from now. Carter hasn't faced great high school competition and has been overmatched on the showcase circuit and in high school when he's seen good breaking balls, so he'll need to improve his pitch recognition at the plate.
