Hatcher began his college career at Mississippi State and was part of the 2021 national championship team. He had been a consistent part of the Bulldogs’ lineup for four years, starting 127 games, but after hitting .189 in 2021 he transferred to Kennesaw State for his final season of college baseball. He enjoyed a career year, hitting .391/.452/.667 with 15 home runs and led the nation in hits (109). The lefthanded hitter has a good feel for hitting and has some power, though it plays as doubles pop now. Hatcher played center field for Kennesaw State but he’s not a burner and probably moves to an outfield corner in pro ball.
