Walters didn't take up pitching until last year, so understandably there are times where he looks like a strong-armed thrower with little idea of where the ball is going. But already there are also times when he shows glimpses of the athletic pitcher he may become. Walters generally sits at 88-92 mph right now, but he flashes 94-95 at times. The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder probably will be best served by heading to Texas A&M to add refinement, but a team may decide to pay for potential.
