In a draft that is lacking in college catchers, Scivicque's excellent production and senior status ensures that he shouldn't be waiting too long to hear his name called. Scivicque has an average arm and his soft hands make him a solid receiver, but he's not as agile as teams would like. At the plate, he has shown the ability to drive the ball while making consistent contact. Scivicque does a good job of staying back and using his lower half to drive the ball. Scivicque's hitting ability likely won't be enough to allow him to stick at first base, and he has plenty of work to do defensively to prove he can stay at catcher as a pro, but teams that emphasize offensive production from their catchers will be intrigued.
