LeBlanc was a high-profile recruit but had Tommy John surgery after three college starts as a freshman. His velocity was down last year as a draft-eligible sophomore and his elbow was scoped to clean up scar tissue. LeBlanc has the body and big fastball necessary to remain in the rotation, but scouts aren't sure if his secondary stuff will allow him to fill that role. He has touched at least 95 mph nearly every time out this season, sitting 90-93. His fastball stands out not just because of its velocity but also its plus life and downhill angle. His slider is a below-average offering that can flatten out. His changeup gets limited use and is also below-average. LeBlanc is a strike-thrower but doesn't miss many bats, with 6.2 strikeouts per nine in his career. The long-limbed 22-year-old has a lanky build with projection remaining at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds.
