If he had remained healthy, Lemoine was a potential first-round pick coming off a solid stint with USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team. But it's going to be a lot riskier for someone to spend significant money on a pitcher who has not shown that kind of stuff at all this season and has been sidelined for two months with a shoulder impingement. Lemoine's injury hasn't required surgery, but he also wasn't back on the mound in time for the NCAA regionals. Even before he was shut down, Lemoine didn't show the same plus fastball at 91-93 mph, touching 95, that he demonstrated as a freshman and sophomore, and his slider lacked the same bite it had shown in the past. Even if Lemoine gets healthy in time to work up to pitch in summer ball, a team drafting him would get very few looks before the signing deadline. His status is one of the most puzzling dilemmas of the 2015 draft.
