Big-bodied at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, LaMarche has been around. He'll be 22 in August and is a Tommy John survivor. He attended Long Beach State for a year and had Tommy John surgery, then transferred to Chabot (Calif.) CC and pitched 19 innings. The Twins drafted him in the 18th round last year but he decided to attend Louisiana State, where he showed low 90s arm strength. He needs to tighten his delivery to throw more strikes, as he had only earned 25 innings in a deep, talented LSU bullpen.
