Rose had his best season offensively in terms of impact, as he hit .261 with 10 doubles and nine home runs. Rose has relaxed hands at the plate and uses a slight barrel tip as a timing mechanism. His barrel accelerates through the zone and this season he showed the ability to really drive the baseball. Rose’s calling card, though, is his defense. He is a plus runner and above-average athlete, two traits that translate well in the outfield. Rose has the tools and defensive ability to stick in centerfield long term.
