A back injury ruined Neuse’s 2021 season. He played just 26 games and couldn’t match his outstanding abbreviated 2020 season. Neuse hit .355/.438/.487 in 2020, but dipped to .281/.440/.427 in 2021 with a single home run. The brother of Dodgers infielder Sheldon Neuse, Dylan is more athletic, but has much less power. He’s a plus runner who uses that speed in center field as well. At the plate, Neuse has a solid understanding of the strike zone and knows how to get on-base. His well below-average power limits his ceiling. Neuse struggled in the Cape Cod League in the summer of 2019 (.197/.315/.316), which adds to the uncertainty that surrounds his shortened 2021 season.
