Jackson is a lanky, 6-foot-6, 204-pound righthander with a long arm action but fair command and impressive control. He walked just 14 batters in 67.2 innings (1.9 BB/9) of work this spring for Georgia Southern, but he did post a 5.19 ERA and allowed 82 hits.
