In one of the best stories of the weekend, Davidson shocked top seed North Carolina and the rest of the Chapel Hill Regional by winning three games and advancing to the super regional in its first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Marlins’ catcher A.J. Ellis fouled not one, not two, not three … but 10 pitches off in a 14-pitch at-bat in Miami’s 6-5 win against the D-Backs on Sunday. Don’t look now, but the Fish have won eight of their past 10.

Back, Back, Back, Way Back, GONE!
Iowa’s Jake Adams hit a no-doubter for his 29th home run of the season to tie things up against Houston in the top of the eighth in the Houston Regional. Unfortunately for the Hawkeyes, the Cougars came back for a 7-5 win in the ninth. Still Adams’ bomb was a thing of beauty.

Da Da Da, Da Da Da
Double-A Mississippi second baseman Levi Hyams made a diving stop and got the force out at second after the ball ricocheted off the mound. His teammate Michael Mader thought the play was worthy of a spot on the Sportscenter Top 10.

Six teams advanced to the Super Regional with wins on Sunday. Louisville, Davidson, Cal State Fullerton, Wake Forest, Oregon State and LSU all moved on to the next round of the NCAA Tournament. The last 10 spots will be decided by 11 games on Monday; Albert Pujols became the ninth player to hit 600 home runs when he went deep against the Twins on Sunday; No. 11 prospect Michael Chavis continued his breakout season in Class A for the Red Sox with his third multi-homer game of the season.
