TOP PROSPECTS
The Giants’ player pool includes seven of their Top 10 prospects, as ranked at midseason. Included among that group are each of the team’s top seven prospects: Marco Luciano, Joey Bart, Heliot Ramos, Hunter Bishop, Alexander Canario, Patrick Bailey and Luis Toribio.
The Giants’ Nos. 8-10 prospects—Seth Corry, Luis Matos and Sean Hjelle—are not included.
Other prospects ranked among the team’s Top 30 included in the player pool are: Will Wilson (No. 13 at midseason), Jaylin Davis (No. 18), Conner Menez (No. 19) and Camilo Doval (No. 30)
ADDITIONS AND SUBTRACTIONS
Since the initial release of the player pool, the Giants have added OF Luis Alexander Basabe from the White Sox and RHP Jordan Humphreys from the Mets. They’ve also added OF Chris Shaw and RHP Melvin Adon to their player pool. They lost C Rob Brantly on waivers to the Yankees and returned 2019 Rule 5 pick RHP Dany Jimenez to the Blue Jays. Veteran OF Hunter Pence was also released.
