New Era Launches Kid Cudi Cleveland All-Star Cap

As New Era Cap Co. looks to celebrate the city of Cleveland ahead of the MLB All-Star weekend, the league’s official on-field cap provider announced a collaboration with Grammy Award-winning artist Kid Cudi on the New Era x Kid Cudi Cleveland Indians All-Star 59Fifty.

The limited-edition cap puts a Kid Cudi twist on the Cleveland Indian’s “C” logo, available at 11 a.m. on July 6 in store and online at Xhibition Cleveland and then online at New Era, Kid Cudi and MLB on July 7.

The new-look “C” logo in red comes with graffiti-like dripping elements, giving an artistic flair to the classic mark. On the right side of the blue cap comes the 2019 MLB All-Star Game logo and the wordmark on the back of the cap of Kid Cudi under a smaller, untouched “C” logo that pairs the artist with the city.

“We are excited to work with a musical artist that is so closely tied to Cleveland through his music and appreciation for baseball,” said Tim Sanahan, director of baseball at New Era Cap.

To commemorate the 2019 MLB All-Star Game, New Era also launched the New Era Authentic Collection MLB All-Star Game cap and the New Era Authentic Collection MLB All-Star Game Workout cap. Both styles feature an embroidered team logo with a special All-Star Game side patch.

Kid Cudi has earned double-platinum album certification and in 2012 he won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “All of the Lights.” He has sold over 10 million singles worldwide.

New Era, the official on-field cap for MLB and the NFL, is based in Buffalo and has been in sports for over 90 years. The cap will retail for $45.
