After including just three of their Top 30 prospects (Zack Brown, Drew Rasmussen, Devin Williams) in their initial player pool, the Brewers have made plenty of additions. The group now includes seven of the team's Top 10 after LHPs Aaron Ashby and Antoine Kelly, SS Brice Turang, OF Tristen Lutz, C Mario Feliciano and OF Eduardo Garcia. They also added No. 11 prospect Corey Ray and No. 13 prospect Hedbert Perez and No. 18 prospect Payton Henry, among others.

The Brewers have jettisoned veterans like Justin Grimm, Brock Holt and Logan Morrison from their initial pool and added LHP Angel Perdomo (who made his big league debut on Aug. 18). All-star OF Lorenzo Cain has also opted out of the season amid concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.

Roansy Contreras Excels With New Organization

The 21-year-old's Double-A debut reminded the Pirates' farm director of another young righthander who turned into a formidable big leaguer.
