LogoMania 2018 Presented By New Era
Congratulations and welcome to the teams across the country who made the cut for this year’s version of Baseball America’s LogoMania, presented by New Era! Our submission committee was overwhelmed and impressed by all of this year’s entrants, but unfortunately we couldn’t select everybody.
So, after careful thought and consideration, we’ve whittled it down to the 64 teams whose logos shone the brightest. Thank you again to everyone who submitted an application.
This year’s contest will be a little different than 2017’s version. We’re breaking the field into four regions—North, South, East and West—and will consist of four initial rounds, followed by a two-day final round. The contest begins on April 30 and ends on May 31. Here’s the breakdown of each round:
Week 1: Round 1 | Dates: April 30 – May 3
North Region: Monday – Tuesday
East Region: Wednesday – Thursday
Week 2: Round 1 | Dates: May 7 – May 10
South Region: Monday – Tuesday
West Region: Wednesday – Thursday
After the first two weeks, there will be just 16 teams remaining. It’s pressure time.
Week 3: Round 2 | 16 teams
Dates: May 14 – May 17
North Region: 4 teams play on Monday
East Region: 4 teams play on Tuesday
South Region: 4 teams play on Wednesday
West Region: 4 teams play on Thursday
A week later, things get crazy when the field is trimmed first to eight and then four.
Week 4: Round 3 | 8 teams
Date: May 21 – North and East Regions
Date: May 22 - West and South Regions
Week 4: Round 4 | 4 teams
Date: May 23 - North vs. East
Date: May 24 - South vs. West
Then, after four weeks of fan-fueled fun, just two teams will stand. These teams will be the most eye-catching, creative, monsters of the minor leagues. But only one can be champion. To determine the winner, we’ll take two more days from May 30-31 to pit the finalists in an epic battle.
After those 48 hours are up, our blue-ribbon panel of tabulators will scrutinize the results, making sure to account for any hanging chads or other forms of tomfoolery, and determine the 2018 LogoMania champion. The winner will be announced on June 1 on BaseballAmerica.com and our social channels.
