Douglas was led by Colton Welker, who batted .500 and was drafted in the fourth round last week by the Rockies. Douglas narrowly edged out Buchanan and Archbishop McCarthy for the top ranking. These rankings are compiled via a committee poll. Committee members include representatives from the Baseball Coaches Association (BCA) and Baseball America. They give heavy weight to state champions and teams with competitive schedules.
