TOP PROSPECTS
The Rockies have seven of their Top 10 prospects among their player pool, including top prospect Brendan Rodgers, who is currently in the big leagues. That list also includes  LHP Ryan Rolison, 1B Michael Toglia, 3B Colton Welker, OF Sam Hilliard and RHP Ryan Castellani. Hilliard and Castellani are in the big leagues. Three of the Rockies' Top 10 prospects—1B Grant Lavigne and newly drafted prospects OF Zac Veen (No. 2) and C Drew Romo (No. 10) are not in the team's player pool.

The Rockies also have included several more of their Top 30, including Aaron Schunk (No. 11), Tyler Nevin (No. 13), Ben Bowden (No. 15), Karl Kauffmann (No. 16), Helcris Olivarez (No. 20), Tommy Doyle (No. 23), Ashton Goudeau (No. 27) and Yonathan Daza (No. 28). 

ADDITIONS AND SUBTRACTIONS
Since the initial release of the Rockies' player pool, Ian Desmond has opted out of the season, and Colorado signed Matt Kemp. They also added several catchers to their pool, including Brian Serven, Willie MacIver and Chris Rabago. The team also released veteran reliever Bryan Shaw and Jake McGee, the latter of whom was added by the Dodgers.
