College Baseball Top 25 For March 5, 2018

Florida produced a perfect 5-0 week, sweeping a midweek series against North Florida and a weekend set against Stony Brook, and remains atop the Baseball America Top 25, powered by Louisville Slugger.

The Gators improved to 12-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents 99-26. They are holding opponents to an average of just two runs per game, which is the best mark in the country.

The top 17 teams in the Top 25 remain unchanged this week after they all posted winning weekends.

Coastal Carolina and San Diego State this week enter the rankings. The Chanticleers join the Top 25 for the first time this season after starting the year 10-3. The Aztecs are 8-3 and move into the rankings for the first time since they were No. 19 on April 23, 2009.

South Alabama and Connecticut fell out of the rankings. Both lost their weekend series.

The Southeastern Conference leads all conferences with eight teams in the Top 25. The Atlantic Coast Conference follows with five representatives.

The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are through March 4 and do not include ties.
