Wednesday’s Stars

Victor Robles, OF, Nationals. Robles has been on a tear lately. Robles went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, a stolen base and five RBIs yesterday. Robles is now hitting .333/.377/.587 this month.

Shane Bieber, RHP, Indians. Beiber’s final start of the regular season was one of his better ones. Bieber allowed only two hits in seven scoreless innings, he walked two and struck out nine. Bieber’s rookie season has been a mix of good (excellent control and a solid strikeout rate) and bad (he is in the zone so much he gets hit a lot).

Shohei Ohtani, DH, Angels. Ohtani was at it again. He went 2-for-4 with his 22nd home run of the season, which equals the most home runs he hit in a season in Japan.

Luke Voit, 1B, Yankees. Voit went 3-for-5 last night. He’s played his way into getting significant at-bats for the Yankees during the playoffs, as he’s providing the thump (.314/.385/.620) that Greg Bird was supposed to provide.
