Which players just missed the Top 100 Prospects list. Who else was considered??

The process we used to build the Top 100 Prospects list hasn’t changed in years. Baseball America’s staff submits personal Top 150 lists. Those lists are then synthesized (each writers’ No. 1 prospect gets 150 points while the No. 150 prospect gets a lone point).

At that point, we spit out a very, very preliminary Top 100 ranked by the combination of personal Top 150s. On that preliminary list, we rank it once by composite score, but also by looking at median rank for each player to try to ferret out which players are consensus picks and which ones aren’t.

And then we meet. Yankees righthander Chance Adams and Nationals outfielder Juan Soto ended up the last men out. Twins lefthander Stephen Gonsalves and Blue Jays first baseman Rowdy Tellez were the players who slid in. This year we had 214 players who made at least one writer’s top 150.
