Arizona Fall League Prospect Report — October 15, 2019

Brandon Marsh, OF, Angels. The Angels’ second-rounder from 2016 swatted two impressive home runs on Monday, his first two of the AFL and his first multi-homer game since May 1, 2018 with low Class A Burlington. Marsh also showed excellent range to his right and left in center field and has been one of the league’s most impressive players.

Penn Murfee, RHP, Mariners. Selected in the 33rd round out of Santa Clara in 2018, Murfee had a dominant first full season in pro ball. The low-slot righthander whiffed 136 in 113.1 innings, primarily in high Class A Modesto. He was dominant on Monday, striking out eight hitters in four innings and showing an innate ability to dot both sides of the plate with a lively fastball-slider combination thrown from a crossfire delivery.

Geraldo Perdomo, SS, D-backs. The 19-year-old Perdomo continued his impressive AFL with a pair of doubles and two walks for Salt River. The contact machine has had an impressive fall, getting on base at a .414 clip. He finished 2019 with a .397 OBP between both levels of Class A and in the desert has formed a fun keystone combination with Vidal Brujan (Rays).
