LHP Prospect Rankings 2018

The 2018 lefthanded pitching class is significantly stronger than last year with the addition of MacKenzie Gore and Brendan McKay in the draft as well as big steps forward from Luiz Gohara, A.J. Puk and Justus Sheffield. In all nine lefties made the Top 100 prospects, and there are some promising potential risers beyond them in JoJo Romero, Logan Allen, Cole Ragans and Jesus Luzardo. Still, it’s a crop with a concerning injury history, minimal depth and a lot of low-level, far away talent. The pitchers at the top are formidable, though, and make the 2018 southpaw class a respectable group.
