2017 State Draft Report: West Virginia

CROP RATING
updated_state_rating_five_star Solid, not spectacular
Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

If a player is going to be drafted out of a West Virginia high school, there’s a pretty good chance it’s going to be out of Nitro (W.Va.) High or Hurricane (W.Va.) High. Nitro has had a pair of players drafted since 2010. Aaron Perry could become the second Hurricane player picked in the past three years. Only one other West Virginia high school player has been selected this decade.
