2017 State Draft Report: Montana

CROP RATING

Rating compares this year’s group to what a state typically produces, not to other states

Montana is a state with long distances from city to city and generally a paucity of prospects. No player has been picked in the draft out of Montana since Gage Hinsz was an 11th-round pick of the Pirates in 2014. That pick has worked out pretty well for Pittsburgh so far, but there is no guarantee Nick Yovetich will hear his name called this year, as he’s signed to play for San Francisco next year if he doesn’t go pro.
