A big (6-foot-4, 236-pounds) slugger with excellent raw power, Hall has shown he can get to that power on a regular basis. He had a four-home run game against Incarnate Word, and Hall's 18 home runs and .624 slugging percentage both ranked among national leaders. He also pitched in as a the team's Saturday starter (he bats left but throws right). The power in his bat is better than the power on his fastball. Hall's selling point to a pro team is the bat. Although he hit .300 this year, his swing has length and does not project to allow him to be even an average hitter without significant tweaks. But with leverage and strength, Hall is comfortable driving the ball out to anywhere from left-center field to the right-field foul pole, which should get his name called some time relatively quickly on day two of the draft.
