Scouts covet athletic players, especially those that play multiple sports, and Dobzanski offers an unconventional take on the multi-sport combo as a dominant high school wrestler who won consecutive state titles after going 126-0 in the 220-pound weight class. He also received scholarship offers after playing one season of high school football. Dobzanski has upside on the mound with a durable, power pitcher's build with broad shoulders and strength throughout his chiseled 6-foot-4 frame. After wrestling well into March, he did not hold his velocity early in the season but began to work consistently at 89-92 mph, touching 94 with downhill plane from a high three-quarters arm slot as the season progressed. His breaking ball has flashed average but is inconsistent thanks to his arm action, and he has not used a changeup often. He is around the plate and shows enough strike-throwing ability to make scouts think that he could be a starter with development. Dobzanski is understandably raw because of his limited baseball experience, as his arm action has length and stiffness and he throws slightly across his body. But the Louisville commit has the athleticism to improve quickly when baseball becomes his focus.
