Scouts in Alabama and Georgia were familiar with Anthony from his prep days in Columbus, Ga., but he detoured for two years to Western Oklahoma State JC. Drafted in the 16th round last year by the Braves, Anthony didn't sign and instead came closer to home to play for Auburn. He had a decent season, drawing walks and playing above-average defense at third base for the Tigers. The 5-foot-11, 203-pounder also has caught in the past and has an above-average arm. However, Anthony hit just .269 with two homers, so he'll only go higher than the 16th round if he's singable.
