Originally from Hermosillo, Mexico, Ramos played at San Fernando Valley High and then put himself on the prospect map as a freshman at CoC this spring, hitting .317/.411/.511 with seven home runs. At 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, Ramos stands out for his physicality and brute strength. He has above-average lefthanded power and a pull-oriented approach, but he has flashed the ability to drive balls the other way as well, and he handles good velocity when he sees it. Ramos is a suspect defender at first base, and he'll need to improve his footwork and hands to be more than a DH, but he does have an average arm.
