Foster earned a national championship ring as a walk-on backup quarterback on Louisiana State's football team in 2011. He then focused on baseball exclusively in 2012, but rejoined the football team as a backup quarterback in 2014 when the Tigers needed depth help. He's had a much more prominent baseball role for the Tigers. Foster has the knack for the highlight catch and the speed and route-running ability to slide over to center field in pro ball. As you may expect for a quarterback, he has an above-average arm. Foster's swing has length and leverage producing average power but at the expense of batting average.
