Track Record: Rodriguez burst on the scene in 2021 when he pitched his way to Low-A St. Lucie as an 18-year-old after dominating Florida Complex League competition. He had signed for little fanfare in 2019 and had his debut delayed by the pandemic in 2020. Rodriguez didn't get a chance for an encore in 2022 because he had Tommy John surgery in March and missed the entire season.
Scouting Report: As Rodriguez has filled out his 6-foot-3 frame, he has added velocity and was pitching in the mid 90s from a low three-quarters arm slot when healthy in 2021. He topped out at 97 mph. Rodriguez's low-80s slider has peaked at 86 mph and has wipeout potential thanks to impressive horizontal break to his glove side.
