View Draft Report
Harney spent three seasons at Massachusetts in the UMass rotation before joining the Kentucky program for the 2021 season. He served in a swingman role at Kentucky, going 5-4, 2.62 with 55 hits allowed, 17 walks and 65 strikeouts in 65.1 innings in 2022. A fifth-year senior, Harney is a pretty typical three-pitch righthander. The 6-foot, 190-pounder has a low-90s fastball, low-80s slider and mid-80s changeup. While he's pitching from a three-quarters arm slot, his fastball has a pretty typical movement pattern. He throws strikes and has a track record of durability.
