J.D. Drew was the top-rated college player at the beginning of the season and widened the gap on his competition. He has enjoyed a season for the ages, chasing the Atlantic Coast Conference triple crown and college baseball's first 30-30 year. The ball jumps of his bat, and he has plus power to all fields. He has developed a keener sense for taking what pitchers give him and has put the ball in play better. All his tools are above average except defense, where he faces a possible switch from center field to a corner position. He doesn't get a great jump on balls.
