A consistent offensive presence for Fresno State for four years, Ashford is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound senior outfielder who's hit over .300 each year in the Mountain West Conference, and did the same thing last summer in a 41-game stint in the Cape Cod League. He's a gritty player who has a chance to be a top-of-the-order hitter with good bat to ball skills, plus running ability and a chance to stick in center field. Ashford has solid plate discipline and has walked around as much as he's struck out over his collegiate career.
